Buyer and Seller agree to the following conditions of sale:
Thank you for purchasing your dog from Laughman Family Farms, A Dozen Dachshunds.
If for any reason you can no longer keep your pet, we will gladly take it back. Please contact us immediately if
there are any problems with your dog.
By accepting delivery of this animal you agree to the following recommendations and requests:
Please remember to keep your puppy off the ground in public places until he is fully
vaccinated at 16 weeks. While all precautions are taken on our end to ensure that your pup remains free of
disease, there is always a risk. Please be sure that all dogs on your property are always up to date on all
vaccinations and/or pest/parasite medications recommended for your area.
Please make an appointment for your pup to visit the vet as soon as possible. Once the
pup is in your possession, you agree to provide him with all necessary veterinary care at
your expense. If for any reason you are unable to provide needed veterinary care, please contact us.
Your dog’s microchip is registered with AKC Reunite through our kennel. If your contact information changes,
Please let us know so we can keep your information up to date.
If you decide you would like to have your pup spayed or neutered, please wait until after 1 year of age to help
prevent future back problems. Unintended pregnancies are easy to avoid by keeping your intact dog away from
other intact dogs during the heat cycle. You agree to keep your intact dog separate from any dog you are not
intending to breed with during this time.
If you decide to breed your pup, we request that you do DNA testing on this dog and any prospective mates.
Dachshund genetics is complex and breeding dapple to dapple can result in blind, deaf or otherwise unhealthy pups.
We also recommend that you have adequate funds in reserve should the female need a c-section. Mini Dachshunds do carry
mixed-size genes and failure to provide a c-section if it becomes necessary may lead to the death of the female and/or some or all of the puppies.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us anytime.
